Robert Alexander is the founder of Hood to Higher Education. He has been an educator for over 15 years. He’s contributed his services as a Counselor, Teacher, Motivational Speaker, Life Coach, and Educational Consultant. Along with being a powerful educator, Robert is also an Author.

Robert is passionate about helping historically under represented students succeed in college, as well as mentoring new counselors and instructors. He is well-versed in Curriculum Development. He uses his expertise to train instructors with instructional skills and culturally responsive pedagogies.

 

Robert is a Bay Area native, and knows the importance of higher education and how it helped to transform his own life, which makes him so passionate about doing the same for young students.

 

Robert’s main goal is to help Black and Latino youth by improving their critical literacy and critical thinking; in conjunction with fostering a sense of academic engagement.
